MDLXVI (1566).<BR>Perfect wide margined copy with original margins<BR>A MILESTONE IN CARTOGRAPHY OF NORTH AMERICA. THE FIRST MAP ENTIRELY DEVOTED TO THE CONTINENT AND THE FIRST DETAILED MAP TO SHOW THE STRAIT OF ANIAN SEPARATING ASIA AND AMERICA. The map was engraved by the veronese Paolo Forlani, as recently stated by Woodward, and not by Bolognino Zaltieri as previously attributed, who published the second state (like ours) adding his name to the plate.
