Extremely rare original edition of the decree, issued by Prince Friedrich Karl August (1743-1812) on 11 November 1767, which prohibited Jewish trade in the Principality of Waldeck and Pyrmont. The decree states that, from 1 January 1768, all Jews will be prohibited from trading in the principality, and that special trading permission will no longer be issued to Jews. It is necessary that this new law be well known to our citizens, in order to prevent any Jewish black market activities. Jews who continue to enter cities, villages or houses secretly in order to trade will have all their goods confiscated. Finally, the court will reject all legal actions taken by Jews.
