Edizione: early beautiful copy of one of the best known of the popular oz titles. the brainy scarecrow is perhaps mr. baum's most popular creation. in fact, baum himself called this one "my best!". the story comes from that sweet-spot in the series when baum was still authoring the books but after principle illustration of them had switched to john r. neill. his style became so closely associated with oz that many readers consider him to be the 'classic' oz illustrator.
