Very clean very tight pages with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 44pp. Photographs of people and places and events from the villages of Mottram, Hollingworth, Broadbottom and some from Godley in Hyde in Tameside taken in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Also includes photographs of the construction of the Manchester to Sheffield railway line through Longdendale Valley up to Woodhead Tunnel and the work of Manchester Corporation Waterworks developing the string of five reservoirs in the Valley. Tucked in are two A4 sheets, one with details of some memorials around Mottram Church and the other gives the statistics of the eight bells in the Church. Extremely scarce. We do not use stock photos, the picture displayed is of the actual book for sale.
