FIRST AND ONLY EDITION of this scarce juvenile, beautifully illustrated with FOUR FULL-PAGE HAND-COLORED LITHOGRAPHS. The lithographs depict, appropriately enough, various seaside activities. 8vo. BEAUTIFULLY BOUND IN THE PUBLISHER'S CHROMOLITHOGRAPHED BOARDS. The binding on this copy is THE EXTREMELY RARE FIRST STATE, with the error "Les nfants (sic) au bord de la mer". Light wear to extremities of binding, else FINE AND BRIGHT. Gumuchian 2644 and 2644bis (not recording this binding state). Extremely rare as such.
