Il presente volume fornisce un primo orientamento alla conoscenza delle <em style="box-sizing: border-box;">pièces</em> perdute del massimo esponente dell’<em style="box-sizing: border-box;">archaia</em>, illustrando nel saggio introduttivo i contenuti e la datazione (certa o presunta) dei drammi non conservati per intero; seguono, sul fondamento del testo greco di Kassel-Austin, la traduzione e il commento di quei passi che delle commedie perdute risultano perspicui sul piano linguistico, letterario, storico e antiquario.
