Spine with printed paper label. = An important paper by the Austrian ichthyologist Rudolf Kner (1810-1869) on the fishes of the Amazon, and its tributaries. Included are several new species of piraña. The local names are given. According to Dean, it was published in 1859. Plates with a few spots, otherwise good. Published in the academy's Denkschriften.
