Original printed wrappers. = A combination of the introduction and station list (by Rehn), and the study of the forest elephant (by Allen). The plates show elephants and their skulls. The Vanderbilt Expedition travelled through the tropical heart of the continent from the Atlantic coast to the Indian Ocean. Published in the Academy's Proceedings, volume 88, with the volumes wrappers. Uncut. Wrappers a bit creased, otherwise a very good copy.
