This catalog was prepared to accompany the retrospective from October 2014 to February 2015 (curated by Do Hwajin) of one of Korea's most accomplished ceramists: Whang Chongnye (1927- ). Born into a family of potters, she became proficient in Goryeo Celadon techniques. Long essay by Jang Donggwang 'Vessel that holds the Wind'. Illustrated throughout in color with many color plates.
