About the Book: - The book is based on the collection of data and information of a travelogue during the period of 1802 to 1806. During his journey to India, Ceylon, The Red Sea, Abyssinia, and Egypt the writer of the book has collected materials from these places which he later incorporated them into the four volumes of the book. The book contains the great political talents, promptitude and decision, the extensive and important empire of India has been preserved from the secret machinations of traitors, combined with the open hostility of an implacable enemy. He hopes and trust, that, at no distant period, the wisdom and energy, which were displayed in the preservation of Eastern possessions, will be called forth in the service of the mother country, and carry her triumphantly through a contest with a tyrant, whose power to do mischief, seems to have been hitherto almost as extensive as his inclination. The volume I represents the facts about India-Ceylon, the second volume contains India-Red Sea- Abyssinia, the third volume covers Red Sea, Abyssinia, and Egypt and the fourth volume covers illustrations and plates of these period to make it a uniform and comprehensive guide for researchers and readers.
