Paris, Société Zoologique de France, 1889. 8vo (24.6 x 16.3 cm). 28 pp.; one finely lithographed plate. Original printed wrappers and protective yellow wrappers. = Rare offprint of a little known work on Venezuelan land and freshwater molluscs. Simon collected 43 species, of which the French malacologist Félix Pierre Jousseaume (1835-1921) described 13 as new. For one new species there is also a new genus. We have seen only twice a copy before. Provenance: stamp of the American malacologist Richard Irwin Johnson (1925-2020) in the top margin of the front wrappers and above the drophead title, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
