Original printed wrappers. = Well-told and richly illustrated narrative of a geographical and ethnographical expedition to the interior of Suriname (Surinam; former Dutch Guyana), in particular the previously poorly surveyed eastern part, along the Gonini river. this river flows into the Lawa, which river forms the boundary between Suriname and French Guyana. There are several appendices, including on indian artefacts, and one on ornamental designs made by the indigenous people. The map is very large. Offprint from the Genootschap's Tijdschrift.
