All edges gilt. = This work by the Austrian geologist and mining engineer Franz Xaver Riepl (1790-1857) contains an overview, geographically arranged, of all coal mines and related activities in Austria, Hungary, Croatia, and some adjacent parts of Central Europe then belonging to the Austria. Published in the second yearbook of the polytechnic institute in Vienna, together with some unrelated papers, and, for instance, a list of British, and French patents, and a list of technical publications in France and in Great Britain. The contemporary binding is quite luxurious. Rare. Neither in Hoover nor in Ward and Carozzi.
