Disbound. = A very well-illustrated work on hand-thrown weapons, including the famous boomerang. Written by the German ethnographer Carl Wilhelm Lüders (1823-1896). He "[b]egan as a collector and dealer in ethnographic material working in Hamburg. From 1879-96 director of the ethnographical museum in Hamburg" (British Museum website). Published in the society's Jahrbuch. A very good, clean copy. Rare.
