Spine with two red morocco labels with gilt title and year. = Christian Friedrich Schönbein (1799-1868) was the discoverer of ozone. These two papers further elaborate on its properties. Between and after these two papers on ozone are several other works by Schönbein, for a total of 23 pages. This is the complete Annalen der Physik und Chemie, dritte Reihe, siebenter Band (or volume 67 of the whole series) edited by J. C. Poggendorff (x, 592 pp.; two large, folding plates). Tiny stamp on the title page, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
