This is a very good copy of this limited edition, originally issued in softcover. This copy was specially bound in hardcover in 1975. The binding is a light olive cloth with a darker brown title plate inset on the front cover, titles in gilt on the spine are faded. Note on the binding by the binder L.W. in pencil on the front endpaper. Completely clean inside, slight bump to top corner of text block. Illustrated in black & white with 16 plates with tissue guards. Limited edition of 400 copies printed by the Southworth Press in Portland, Maine in April 1934. This is volume 4 in the Metropolitan Museum of Art Department of Egyptian Art series. Bibliography. List of plates. 13" high X 9" wide, xvi + 84 pages + plates. Scarce. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and sent with tracking.
