Original uniform printed wrappers. = This is the first English and improved edition of Haeckel's Die Ordnungen der Radiolarien, being a "translation of a recent paper of mine, by Miss Nellie Maclagan, .revised by myself", and published in two subsequent issues of Nature (volume 29, numbers 742 and 743). It forms the first comprehensive systematics of the higher taxa of the Radiolaria, mostly based upon Haeckel's findings when studying the Radiolaria collected by the Challenger Expedition, and beautifully illustrated by Haeckel in his famous Report on the Radiolaria. Weak, vertical fold (as usual, due to the postal delivery method), otherwise very good, clean and unmarked. Rarely found in original issues.
