First edition. 8vo, bound in very handsome full blue crushed morocco by Zaehnsdorf, the boards triple-gilt framed, the spines very elaborately gilt decorated in compartments between gilt-tooled raised bands, two compartments gilt lettered and ruled, gilt ruled board edges, elaborate gilt tooled turn-ins in rose motif, silk moire endleaves, all edges gilt. 164, 8 [ads] dated November 1 pp. A very attractive copy, the text is free of spotting and very well preserved, the paper just lightly mellowed, the binding is very handsome, a little cosmetic wear to the morocco along the outside hinges and a touch of wear to the spine head, the front with separation at the free-fly and pastedown, but still firm and solid.
