A PRESENTATION COPY FROM THE AUTHOR WITH HIS SIGNATURE ON TITLE, AND SEPARATE SIGNED HOLOGRAPH INSCRIPTION ON OBVERSE OF IMPRINT LEAF. THIS COPY WAS PRESENTED TO PROFESSOR JACK MORPURGO 'WITH GRATITUDE FOR MANY YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP'. Professor Jack Morpurgo (1918-2000) was Director-General of the National Book League and later Professor of American Literature at Leeds University. His many works include several on Anglo-American military history and an acclaimed biography of fellow Old Blue Barnes Wallis. Extremely scarce.
