Illustrated throughout by Richard Doyle, the original artist for the work. 8vo, handsomely bound in full dark-green cloth gilt, the upper cover emblazoned in gilt with pictorial device and designed lettering, the spine lettered and decorated in gilt. 64 pp. A very fine copy, beautifully preserved, the gilt bright, the text-block and illustrations clean, the binding strong and attractive.
Edizione: a very pleasing copy. this story is told in the form of a medieval legend, and the illustrations are delightfully expressive of this spirit.
