With 27 black and white plates by Maurice Sendak. 8vo, in the publisher's original gilt lettered brown cloth, with the original dustjackets and paper-covered slipcase with Sendak illustrated pastedown. [viii], 168; [viii], 169-332 pp. The books are very fine in fine jackets just a touch of mellowing to the spines, the slipcase shows only some modest wear and evidence of two now removed stickers or labels.
Edizione: a wonderful printing of twenty-seven timeless stories from the brothers grimm, each with an illustration by maurice sendak.
