Original red embossed cloth with gilt title on the spine, and gilt vignette on the front board. = A volume from one of the longest running and most influential ornithological magazines. Especially the earlier years, with fine plates by Keulemans, Grönvold and others, are very uncommon and sought-after. Ex-libris of S. Dillon Ripley 2nd, pasted in on verso front cover. Spine a bit chipped at bottom and top edge.
