London, Longmans, Green and Co., 1883. 8vo. xvi, 132 pp.; hand-coloured engraved frontispiece (of trout, tissue guarded) and 19 nice hand-coloured engraved plates. Publisher's (?) blind-embossed full cloth with gilt title on front board. = The engravings depict various "real" and artificial Ephemeridae and some other insects (Hemiptera, Diptera, Coleoptera and others). Signed by two former owner on the front free endpaper and with a pretty ichthyological bookplate of a third. Catalogue of Longmans, etc. (dated November 1883, 24 pp.) bound in rear. A good, sound copy. Dean II, p. 358. Not in Horn-Schenkling II.
