First Edition, number 1568 of 1950 copies, signed by the illustrator, Arthur Szyk. This copy with the prospectus and the letter describing the book and its production. Illuminated colour paintings by Arthur Szyk Folio, bound in 3/4 white sheepskin over white vellum-paper, with gilt lettering label on the spine. The upper cover is pictorially decorated in gilt by Arthur Szyk with a depiction of Job, the man of Uz, his hands spread in a gesture of infinite patience. Housed in the handmade gold slipcase lined in red velour. 148 pp. Internally and externally a very fine and handsome copy but for some wear to the head of the spine panel and some cracking to the surface of the sheepskin at the rear hinge. The slipcase with a bit of wear to the edges.
