With 72 highly impressive tissue captioned tipped-in colour plates by Major Lovett and 19 smaller line drawings throughout the text. 4to, in the publisher's deluxe binding fine white cloth lettered and pictorially decorated on the upper cover and spine in gilt and blind, silk ribbon marker bound in and t.e.g. xiv, 224 pp. A stunning copy, unusually fine, the white cloth showing only the most trivial evidence of age, the text and plates pristine, end-leaves just a touch age mellowed as would be expected, hinges fine and strong, an especially beautiful copy.
