With a fine engraved frontispiece depicting Adam and Eve surrounded by animals, birds and flora and eight full page plates depicting animals, insects, plants and etc. as described in the text. 8vo, contemporary full polished calf, the covers ruled with triple gilt fillet rules at the borders,the spine with raised bands dividing the compartments which are richly decorated in gilt, red morocco lettering label gilt. [14], 224, [20 Index] pp. A very good and handsome copy well preserved, the binding tight and strong with light evidence of age or use primaily at the extremities, the text-block clean and well preserved.
