Original blue boards with printed title on the spine. = An important, early contribution to the knowledge of the Dicotyledones and Monocotyledones of Suriname (or Surinam; former Dutch Guyana) in northern South America, written by the Dutch botanist Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel (1811-1871). A copy with stiff boards. Most copies have thin paper wrappers. Slight wear to the boards and spine. Plates from number 51 onwards have a - initially weak - waterstain at the right side, otherwise good. Nissen BBI, 1391; Stafleu and Cowan, 6106.
