With a map of Africa as frontispiece, folding map of the Union of South Africa and folding map of Southern Africa north of the Union. 4to, publisher's original green buckram with painted spine label. 363 pp. including index. Internally very fine, the binding solid and clean, with some minor toning from light and with the painted label mellowed with lettering unclear.
Edizione: an important work, a reclassification of the mammals of the area based on the extensive material in the study collections of the british museum and transvaal museum, as well as specimens in the south african museum and information from recent workers in the field.
