Colombo, The National Museums of Ceylon, 1936. Three papers in two. 4to. 33 [15; 12; 6] pp.; 11 [4; 4; 3] fine text figures (several page-sized), five [5;0;0] photographic plates. Disbound, but with the original printed wrappers. = The first paper is a detailed study including notes and illustrations concerning the nests, embryos (of various age), and hatching. The second paper deals with the worldwide distribution. the third showing nesting behaviour. At the rear is a shorter note regarding the first find on Ceylon of a boa, Gongylophis conicus (Russell), illustrated with one detailed drawing of the actual living specimen (life-size). All published in Spolia Zeylanica, the wrappers being from the issue in which these papers were published. The first few pages dog-eared with some soiling, otherwise very good, clean. Rare.
