Original printed wrappers. = A bathymetrical and sedimentological paper with many new data. The fine colour plate shows sediments, highly enlarged. The author, the French naturalist and hydrographer, Julien Marie Olivier Thoulet (1843-1936) is widely regarded as the father of French oceanography. Uncut. Small hole in transparent overlay; otherwise fine, clean copy.
