Orléans, H. Herluison (for the Société Archéologique et Historique de l'Orléanais), 1877. 8vo (23.5 x 15.5 cm). 120 pp. 20th-century full cloth. Spine with red morocco label with gilt title and gilt stippled lines. Marbled endpapers. Original printed front wrapper bound in. = A posthumously published paper by a former president of the Orléans archaeological society, Louis-Augustin-Léon Nouel de Buzonnière (1797-1876). Provenance: on the front pastedown a mineralogical bookplate of the French mineralogist and professor at the École des Mines, Claude Jean Guy Guillemin (1923-1994), who lived in Orléans and was a co-founder of the International Mineralogical Association. A few pencilled marginalia, most probably by Guillemin, otherwise excellent, spotless and neatly bound.
