Deventer, A. Kluwer, [1904]. Oblong folio (23.9 x 32.0 cm). Title page, [ii] pp., 250 photographic or engraved plates. Original pictorial full colour cloth with bevelled edges. Spine with title in gilt, red, green and gilt bands. Gilt floral endpapers. = A classic Dutch pictorial book on dogs and hounds. The illustrations are of individual, often named, dogs - not of general types or breeds. The captions state the name of both the dog(s) and their owner and residence. Boards a bit rubbed and soiled, the binding a bit shaky, edges slightly worn. In all a very good copy of this uncommon work.
