Original printed wrappers bound in. = A record of the proceedings and abstracts of the greatest French geological congress, held in 1833 in one of the geologically and volcanologically most interesting regions of Europe. Offprint from the Annales scientifiques et littéraires de l'Auverge. Written by the French botanist, chemist, and geologist Henri Lecoq (1802-1871). He became director of the botanical garden and of the natural history museum of his home town, Clermont-Ferrand. Dedicated, on the front wrapper, by Lecoq to the eminent French geologist Jean-Baptiste Armand Louis Léonce Élie de Beaumont (1798-1874). In the lower margin of the title page a decomission stamp (Don de Mr F. Elie de Beaumont 1875) of the library of de Beaumont. A very good, clean copy. Not in any major geological bibliography.
