Large 8vo (27.5 x 17.5 cm). 73 pp. Original printed wrappers. = The Prodrome was published in 1886 with many references to "Locard, 1884" manuscript names, and included without descriptions. Hence they were nude names. However, it is the current work (added to the Prodrome starting with page 531, and possibly preceding that work) that remediates these ommisions: over 70 species and a few genera are validly described here for the first time. Additional information, e.g. on nomenclatural and systematical issues relating to taxa in the main text of the Prodrome are included too. Published in the society's Annales, volume 32 (for the year 1885), together with several other important zoological studies, in particular on Coleoptera. Uncut. Wrapper edges a bit chipped; otherwise a very good, clean copy.
