Calcutta, Government of India Central Publication Branch, 1917-1927. Two papers in one. Folio (35.0 x 25.7 cm). Title pages, 366 pp. [69; 291, vi]; 28 [8; 20] lithographed plates with explanatory text leaves. Slightly later red cloth with gilt title on the spine. = A classic, well-illustrated monograph dealing mainly with Brachiopoda, corals, Mollusca, Bryozoa. Written by the British palaeontologist Fredrick Richard Cowper Reed (1869-1945). Published in the series, Palaeontologia Indica. The first part is decidedly rare, the second very uncommon. Discrete stamp in lower margin of the title; small label on front pastedown, volume numbers on spine, otherwise very good, clean.
