Paper spine cover. = A rarely seen, fine monograph on the geology of the "Côte d'Azur", by the English geologist and palaeontologist Sir Henry Thomas de la Beche (1796-1855). The magnificent 360 degrees panorama shows a view all the way to Cap d'Antibes and further west to St. Tropez, and east to Bordighera beyond Ventimiglia in Italy. Offprint from the Society's Transactions. Uncut. Small hole in the last text leaf top margin, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
