This is a fine hardcover copy with a fine hardshell slipcase decorated in gilt, with no wear at all. Completely clean inside and out. Text in English and Italian. Preface by Alvise Zorzi. Illustrated in color with many photographs of contemporary shoe designs by Rene Fernando Caovilla (1938- ). Caovilla began collaborating with Christian Dior and Chanel in the 1980's. In 2000 he began working with Karl Lagerfeld to create unique bejewelled shoes and their customers included many well known actresses and models. 14" high X 10" wide, 55 text pages + plates. Numbered limited edition of unknown limitation, this copy is number 857. A beautiful book. Large very heavy book foreign postage will be extra.
