Original printed wrappers bound in. = A taxonomically important but seldom-seen work by the American marine biologist and malacologist Alphaeus Hyatt (1838-1902). This copy well-bound. Offprint from the Institute's Proceedings. Author's inscription in the top margin of the front wrapper. Pictorial bookplate of the John Crerar library on the front pastedown; their perforated stamp on the title and tiny stamp on plate versos. Plates are numbered 7-15. Plate 12 by mistake bounds in twice. A very good copy.
