Original printed boards. = Rare offprint "Publiée par l'Académie Royale Néerlandaise des Sciences", written by the Dutch physical geographer and biologist Pieter Harting (1812-1885), describing and discussing thunderbolts. According to Harting, the maximum length reported is over 11 meters. Cloth spine and endpapers renewed, a few lights spots, otherwise fine.
