Bruxelles, Société belge de Microscopie, 1893-1898. Ten parts in ten. 8vo (22.5 x 14.7 cm). 312 pp.; 30 lithographed plates. Original, near uniform printed wrappers, in contemporary marbled slipcase (23.5 x 15.2 x 3.3 cm). = These papers by the Belgian pharmacist and botanist Émile Auguste Joseph de Wildeman (1866-1947) were all published in the Society's Annales, but these are the rare offprints, with separate titles. All contain major revisions with descriptions and illustrations of new and poorly-known species. In the last (tenth) issue the author states that the work is complete. The first nine parts were printed by A. Manceaux; the last one, with the wrappers on slightly different, thinner paper, by Alfred Castaigne. Stamped "EDW" on the front wrappers. The last wrapper split along the fold, otherwise a very good, clean set. Not in Volbracht (neither in the 2017 supplement).
