About The Book: In this book, the author explores Mystic Experiences: Tales of Yoga and Vedanta from the Yoga Vasishtha. Valmiki's dual narratives, the Ramayana and the Maha Ramayana, impart lessons on virtue and happiness. While the Ramayana chronicles Rama's external journey battling King Ravana, the Maha Ramayana delves into Rama's internal struggles, representing the conquest of inner adversaries to combat external malevolence. This Greater Book is briefly discussed, alongside the revered Yoga-Vasishtha, which offers philosophical and practical insights into mysticism. An abridged version, initially published in The Theosophical Review, is presented with annotations by Annie Besant. These tales, revived after nearly three decades, aim to illuminate spiritual principles and inner development.
