Contemporary blind wrappers. = A detailed monograph - the first do deal with the palaeontological history of crabs -, written and - partly - illustrated by the French zoologist, and carcinologist Alphonse Milne-Edwards (1835-1900). It includes the description of new genera and species. This is the first of four papers, and includes a general introduction. All are rare. Published in the Annales des Sciences Naturelles, Zoologie, of which Milne-Edwards was one of the editors. Uncut. Marginal foxing, otherwise a good copy. Rare.
