Paris, J. B. Baillière, 1846. 8vo (21.0 x 13.8 cm). Titles to the text part and to the atlas. 448, 24 pp.; 14 partially hand-coloured engraved plates. Later half calf (over marbled boards. Gilt title on the spine. = Te final edition of a work that went through several editions, the earlier with fewer plates and less text. The French zoologist and botanist Christian Horace Benedict Alfred Moquin-Tandon (1804-1863) is perhaps best remembered as a malacologist. This, however, is an excellent monograph on leeches. Boards rather worn, in particular at the edges. Bookplate on the front pastedown; weak, partly erased stamp in the lower margin of the title page. Text and plates clean. A good copy. Nissen ZBI,
