Marbled endpapers. = This is a collection of one hundred numbered zoological papers dealing with taxa from Sumatra (Indonesia), which forms a part of the Malayan Archipelago and is a biological hot-spot. The papers are preceded by a four pages index. Each paper has its own pagination. Lenght varies between two and 16 pages. Eight papers are herpetological (with five plates in total); 13 are on malacology (six plates, several text figures), the others deal mainly with various groups of insects and other invertebrates, a few deal with birds. Some foxing throughout, as usual for a 'tropical' work. The binding extremely good, as new. Rare in this state.
