Descrizione
Patavii [Padua], Typis Seminarii, 1879-1882. Two volumes in two. 8vo. 1305 pp. ([ii] 619; [ii], 682). Near contemporary uniform grained half calf over marbled boards. Spines with gilt bands and title. Speckled edges. = The very rare original edition, published in eight parts between 1879 and 1882. Editor and chief contributor was the Italian mycologist Pier Andrea Saccardo (1845-1920). There is a 1969 reprint, which is uncommon. Pictorial bookplate on both front pastedowns; label on spines foot; a few light pencil marks, otherwise a very good, clean set. Not in Volbracht (neither in the 2017 supplement), underscoring its rarity.
