This map was published in 1875 but it may depict an earlier representation of the area shown dated 1844 and the mapmaker may have drawn on an earlier original work. It shows The Antilles is an archipelago bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the south and west, the Gulf of Mexico to the northwest, and the Atlantic Ocean to the north and east, Cuba, Haiti Porto Rioc et alli.
