Orig. blue cloth with gilt title on spine and front board. = Signed by the author, however not the authograph edition (of 1000 copies), but the first trade edition. After methodically building his famous base " Little America", Byrd and his crew conquered the South Pole on Thanksgiving Day Nov. 25, 1928 and it was one of the first succesful flights over this continent.
