Original printed wrappers. = A well-illustrated paper on Cretaceous rudist oysters - with new species - published in the society's Mémoires. The author, the French geologist and palaeontologist Victor [Lucien] Paquier (1870-1911), who lived in Toulouse, contributed much to the understanding of the Mid-Cretaceous stratigraphy in the Alpine region. He is not in 2400 years of Malacology. Bound together, with the original wrappers all preserved and with a new cloth spine. This is the original edition, with better plates, not the - otherwise good - 1966 Swets & Zeitlinger reprint. Fore edges uncut. Some chipping to spine top, diagonal cut in the margin of two text leaves (not affecting the text), otherwise very good, clean.
