Slightly later blind half cloth over marbled boards. = A fine monograph of these peculiar crustaceans of which the young are parasites on fish. Many new species are included. Published in the Memoirs of the Société des Sciences Naturelles du Maroc. Provenance: Dedicated and signed by the author, the French zoologist, explorer and political activist Theodore André Monod (1902-2000) on the first blank to the Dutch zoologist and crustaceologist Johannes Govertus De Man (1850-1930). Cancellation stamp on the front pastedown, title page, and, highly peculiar, the lower margin of p. 144. Otherwise a well-bound, clean copy. Rare.
