Edition limited to 3426 numbered sets, of which this set is ONE OF ONLY 50 printed on fine wove paper and bound in full black morocco, and accompanied by an ORIGINAL DRAWING BY EDY-LEGRAND, REPRODUCED IN THE BOOK. India ink, ink wash and white heightening on fine wove paper. 39.2 x 29.7 cm. The artwork used in this publication is especially interesting as there is a section in each volume where the artist himself comments on each of the drawings used. The present drawing is reproduced as a full-page plate on page 179 of volume II. The extensive commentary appears in the same volume (pp. 239-249). Folio.
